Sandberg Phoenix Taps Former BCLP Business Development Professional to Lead Nationwide Growth

Sandberg Phoenix recently announced the addition of Danielle Gibbons as the firm’s first dedicated Director of Growth and Business Development. Gibbons, previously with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, will be based in the firm’s Kansas City office and lead strategic growth and business development initiatives firm wide.

CEO and Managing Partner, Bhavik Patel stated, “Our recent rapid expansion has created both an opportunity and need for strategic growth when it comes to business development.” He adds, “We’re excited to welcome a leader of Danielle’s caliber. She brings big law expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit that integrates seamlessly with our culture and team.” Patel anticipates the business development department to increase headcount as business continues to grow.

Prior to announcing the addition of Gibbons, the firm recently welcomed Tracey Truitt and Erin Perry, previously with Armstrong Teasdale, as well as Kelly Sullivan Angles and Perry Brandt, both previously with BCLP.

Sullivan Angles noted, “I joined the firm’s Kansas City office as Managing Partner during a time of growth. Leading the office, and expanding our reach with hires like Danielle, is rewarding and creates excitement for the future of the firm.”

When asked about his move to Sandberg Phoenix, Brandt stated, “Sandberg Phoenix provides me with the perfect platform to serve and grow my client base. I am surrounded by excellent lawyers who provide efficient and cost-effective legal services. And now, with the addition of Danielle, the firm can further elevate our presence in the cities and industries we serve.”

When asked about her recent move from big law, Gibbons stated that the opportunity to join a growing, thriving and entrepreneurial firm like Sandberg Phoenix was too good to pass up. “As a result of big law firms increasing rates at an unsustainable level, companies are realizing they can get comparable, if not better, service at firms like Sandberg Phoenix, and top attorneys are looking towards mid-sized firms as a place to grow their businesses, benefit from back-office support, and offer better rates for their clients,” she said.

These moves, coupled with the firm’s recent nationwide expansion, signify Sandberg Phoenix’s investment in client satisfaction and service by providing top notch legal expertise, while offering more acceptable rates to clients as an alternative to big law firms.

Sandberg Phoenix currently has eight offices in the United States and over 180 attorneys.
